Johnny and I can't believe how quickly Layla is growing. She is begining to crawl everywhere. This weekend Layla was a cheerleader for her cousin Jacob's football team, the Upper Valley Longhorns. Janie bought Layla this cheerleader dress for Christmas. Thank you Janie! Daddy wanted a little football player, but instead he got a cheerleader! Ha Ha! ASHLYNN COMES TO VISIT US IN EL PASO

FUN & TIMES WITH ASHLYNN

Ashlynn came to visit us on December 26th and stayed until December 30th. We had such a good time. On Saturday we just hung out around the house. On Sunday we watched the Bears get defeated, went to Wal-Mart, to the awesome outlet mall, and to the Wyler Ariel Tramway. This ariel tramway took us the the top of the Franklin Mountain. The scenery is spectacular. We were able to see all the way to Chihuahua, Mexico; Ruidoso, New Mexico; White Sands, New Mexico; and all of Juarez and El Paso. Ashlynn loved it. Once we got home we decided to bake have a bake-off. We baked cookie cutter sugar cookies and decorated them. It was great! We were on a mission to find a sombrero for one of Ashlynn's friends, but we couldn't find one. Johnny's mom and dad found one for her. Thank goodness. Ashlynn and Layla decided to sport it for a few photos. Ashlynn got this handy dandy little video camera for Christmas, so she became the videographer for the weekend. These videos are thanks to Ashlynn and her new video camera.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

DECEMBER HAS COME AND GONE FASTER THAN IN ANY OTHER YEAR! I WAS JUST COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS UNTIL SCHOOL WAS OUT TO SPEND MY VACATION WITH LAYLA. JOHNNY & I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY. WE ARE SO BLESSED THAT OUR JOBS ALLOW US TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME WITH HER.

THIS YEAR WE DECIDED TO PUT UP A SMALL CHRISTMAS TREE WITH ALL OF THE ORNAMENTS THAT FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE GIVEN LAYLA. EVERY ORNAMENT IS EITHER PINK OR SILVER - IT IS SO GIRLY AND CUTE! SANTA EVEN MANAGED TO WRAP ALL OF HER PRESENTS IN PINK AND PURPLE WRAPING PAPER!

LAYLA JUST LOVED OPENING GIFTS ON CHRISTMAS MORNING! SANTA BROUGHT HER SO MANY NICE TOYS. SHE HAS BEEN ENJOYING PLAYING WITH THEM. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST SHE IS GROWING!

LAYLA'S FIRST BABY DOLL!

LAYLA ROLLED OVER FOR THE FIRST TIME ON DECEMBER 16TH. SHE ALSO STARTED SITTING UP BY HERSELF. SHE DID THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME WHILE I WAS AT WORK. I ASKED JOHNNY TO TAKE A PICTURE SO I COULD SEE IT. SHE IS NOT VERY CONSISTANT WITH EITHER THOUGH. WITH PRACTICE SHE WILL GET THE HANG OF IT!
